LOCAL TEEN BREAKS RECORD!

Stuart Sobeske Rides His Way Into the Record Books

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, 14 year old Stuart Sobeske broke the world record for the most Rubik's Cubes solved while riding upon a unicycle.
At the local Coldwater Airport, at 9:00 A.M, the challenge began with local Sergeant Pat Beeman and the help of two boy scout members. Their roles were to make sure the cubes were solved and to keep track of the solved cubes once completed.
Riding his trusty unicycle, Sobeske solved 80 cubes - obliterating the previous record of 28 cubes.
After confirming that the record was indeed broken, Sobeske was overjoyed and stated:

I was so relieved, it felt as if there was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

Life After The Record

After breaking the record, many local news stations, newspapers, and journalists took interest in the unique record.
Sobeske and his story have since been featured in many local news reports by WTVB AM1590 and WWMT Channel 3 News. Stuart has also been featured on the show Maranda: Where You Live, and has also been mentioned on Fox News.
In 2017, Sobeske was once again in the news, not for any new world records but for taking on a community service project to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Sobeske successfully built a new walking track around his local cemetery, beautifying the space for community members.
Today, Sobeske can still be found riding the famous unicycle, and his love for the small cubes has not diminished.
